Klaus Enterprises specializes in designing
V-ring valves and converting OEM valves to our unique V-ring design.
The combination of angled seat surfaces and V-rings provides an
extremely efficient flow path which results in lower pressure losses. In a flat
plate, such as ported plate or channels, the gas flow passing the sealing
element has to execute two 90 degree. turns as it flows from the seat into the
guard. The coefficient of resistance therefore is higher, resulting in
correspondingly higher pressure losses across the valve. A valve utilizing a
ring with contoured cross-section such as a V-ring will direct the gas flow to
minimize rotation, and consequently efficiency will be increased.
In addition, the V-ring valves handle debris
better than any alternative valve type. When debris strikes the flat-faced
sealing element, it causes damage to the valve internals. When debris strikes
the v-ring, it will hit at an angle and deflect back into the gas stream.
Practical experience has proved that the V-ring valve performs exceptionally
well under adverse clogging conditions.
