of Crossheads/Connecting Rods
The crosshead
and connecting rod are important because they facilitate the final conversion
from rotating to reciprocating motion. A precision designed and manufactured
crosshead and connecting rod are required for perfect running alignment and
reliable performance.
At Klaus
Enterprises Ltd., babbitt crossheads are sprayed and new bushings are installed
utilizing with premium quality bearing bronze. During the reconditioning
process, straightness is performed and diameter of all pin bores are
measured. Crossheads and crosshead
nuts of varying weight are available to facilitate proper compressor frame
balance.
